I bought those metal things you grab boiled eggs with, the tong things, for only 89 cent at walmart. They do WONDERS when you don’t want to put on gloves to pull something out of maceration to check on it.
these things I love them a lot.
For larger animals I highly recommend a turkey hook normally used for deep frying. Couldn’t find a stock photo...
